The next of our popular discussion evenings will take place this Tuesday, 21 November.
The topic is Barriers To Entry Into The Workplace – and discussion is hosted By Dr Jo Ingold.

This is an informal and friendly political discussion evening hosted by Weetwood Labour Party. Dr Jo Ingold from the University of Leeds will introduce the topic of barriers to entry into the workplace. Members will then split into small groups to talk informally about the subject.
Jo came to Leeds in October 2011, as part of the Building Sustainable Societies project. She previously worked in the third sector and also held a number of posts in central government, as a researcher in the Department for Work and Pensions and in workforce development policy and in learning development in the Department for Education and Skills. Her research interests include: Unemployment and active labour market policies and programmes; Employment programmes for disabled people; Employers and public policy, and Gender and the reconciliation of work and care.
