July 8, Kirkstall Abbey, from 11 a.m. – the Kirkstall festival will take place ‘the largest village fete in the country.’ We’ve got a stall there – selling clothes, toys, books, DVDs, plants, jams and pickles and bric-a-brac.
This year’s star item is a researcher’s library – high quality books on Social & Political History, from 1600 to present day. Topics include Trade Unions’ stories, biographies, suffrage, feminism, family history, slavery, and many others.
But you’ll find plenty of other choice – crime fiction, clothing, plants – and, if you’re there early enough, even a wall picture of Mohammed Ali.
We’re at stand D105 – on the far right-hand side, under the trees.
The festival is a great day out for all the family. So come along and enjoy it – and contribute to our funds into the bargain.
