What would a socially just and sustainable housing policy look like?
That’s a central question we’ll be discussing at a public meeting with Prof Paul Chatterton (University of Leeds)
Thurs 26 January, 7-9 p.m., The New Headingley Club, 56, St Michael’s Lane.
We’ll be considering the current crisis in housing and possible ways forward – locally and nationally.
Paul will speak from his expertise in urban renewal and social justice.
He set up the award winning LILAC [Low Impact Living Affordable Community) and Leeds Community Homes – both community led and affordable solutions to the housing crisis.
The meeting will not just look at what we can expect Government and Council policy to look like, but what we can do ourselves in our communities to promote and provide affordable and equitable housing. There will be plenty of time for open discussion.
The meeting is hosted by Headingley and Weetwood Labour Party.
All are welcome!
