Leeds North West Labour Party were out and about today.
Perhaps you caught up with us somewhere in the constituency.

Celebrating success in Ireland Wood!
Celebrating success in Ireland Wood!

We had a street stall in Headingley this morning. – then another this afternoon in Holt Park, before some delivering and talking to people round the area.

Up at Holt Park we were advertising our free Gig. That wasn’t today, of course.
It’s next Friday, 19 September, at 7.30 at the High Farm Inn.
There are some great singers – the folk roots acoustic duo – Rum Doodle – and singer-song writer Katy Raine. More details here
– don’t miss it.

We were also out litter-picking again – the third time this year – this time off Iveson Approach in Ireland Wood.
We timed it to be part of the Let’s Do It UK – Let’s Clean Up the UK series of events. There were people cleaning up all over Britain today!

Alex and Julie - with the team and all their loot
Alex and Julie – with the team and all their loot
Alex Sobel and Julie Heselwoood, last May’s candidate in Weetwood, led the team. Local residents joined us – and we ended up with 40 bags of rubbish to show for our efforts, as well as other assorted rubbish.
Don’t be misled by the picture – we weren’t on Iveson Garth! The sign was just part of the ‘rubbish’ – and one of our enetrpriising young helpers put it together – people at work!
Many thanks to all those who helped us – not just party members.

Some might call it a ‘Super Saturday’ – but really it was just another busy day in Leeds North West.
See you all next Friday!
