14% of Leeds NW patients waited a week or more for a GP.

Leeds NW constituency is divided between the Leeds West and North areas. In Leeds North, 27, 405 people – that’s 13.79% – waited seven days or more when they phoned for an appointment last year. In Leeds West it was 45, 156 – that’s 14.27% .

That’s why Ed Miliband has promised that Labour will guarantee an appointent within 48 hours.

It’s one reason why Alex Sobel, Labour’s candidate here in Leeds NW, joined the People’s March for the NHS last Friday.
