Please try and find time to support the last Food Bank gig of 2013, this Sunday 1st December.
Upstairs at the Otley Labour Rooms, Walkergate
7.30 to 10 p.m.
It would be great to see you even if you can only pop in for half an hour.
The Gerry MacNiece Band are generously donating their time and talent for free this Sunday to raise money for Otley’s Food Bank . Please bring your friends!!
THE GERRY MacNIECE BAND
The band describe their music as ‘hardcore-folk-pop’ in a very tongue-in-cheek kind of way. They perform a mixture of Gerry’s songs, traditional music and a handful of songs written by their contemporaries.
Described by Mike Harding as ‘real lovely’ the band’s on-stage camaraderie and presence is an essential part of the live experience.
Gerry McNeice has been part of the UK music scene for over
30 years. Beginning his career playing English and American folk music he has travelled through the genres settling comfortably in the current folk/Americana/roots scene.
The Gerry McNeice Band features:
Hannah Walker – violin and vocals
Chris Bunyan – cajon
Dave Turner – flute, harmonica and vocals
Liam McNeice – bass guitar.
Entry is £3, additional donations are welcome.
The Otley local food bank is expected to be open before Christmas. So far we’ve raised nearly £1,000.
Help us to help those in food poverty.
