The summer’s not over, but Leeds North West Labour Party is beginning to plan its busy autumn schedule of events.

First off is a Family Barbecue

Saturday 7 September. 2-5pmbbq_tools_clip_art_10713

177 Adel Lane

There’ll be activities for children – including a trampoline, swing ball – the garden is big enough for adults in one part, children in the other!

Weather and harvest permitting there’ll be a plant and produce stall – a cake stall and a raffle.

£2 entry and £1.50 for a burger/hotdog – all contributions to Party funds.
And you may just meet the odd surprise guest. . . .

Useful to know numbers – so please contact us if you plan to come – lnwclp@hotmail.co.uk

Two other events already in the pipeline

Stand up for Labour on 17 October – should be a hilarious night.
And the annual Constituency dinner will be 17 or 24 November.
Full details of both to follow. But you should get the dates penciled in now.

And if you fancy a trip across the Pennines Labour Women’s Network have sent us details of an exciting Northern Political Day on 14 September at the People’s History Museum in Manchester. It will bring together women from across the Party to debate Labour’s future.
The day will run from 10.30 am til 4.30 pm, and will include sessions on
• Regenerating the North of England: what does Labour need to do?
• North and South: how does Labour win in 2015?
• Tales from the trail: winning selections and elections.
• Changing Society for Women

There’ll be lots of great speakers. This is the first major event LWN has run outside London, so take the opportunity.
Men are welcome to attend – to hear the women speak and debate.
